Are you an adult whose aging parent is declining in health and you need guidance on how to help them? Are you a senior who wants to remain in your home, but you require help with meals and other services? Are you a member of an organization that includes seniors and would like to know what local resources are available to them in the community?

SAGE Eldercare provides programs and services within the community and acts as a resource for eldercare-related needs and has just published the 2015-16 SAGE Resource Guide (Volume 19). Copies are currently being circulated to local area senior centers, libraries, churches and synagogues, medical facilities, and other outlets that serve older adults and their families.

“The guide is a valuable tool for many area caregivers,” stated Fred Jenny, Executive Director of SAGE Eldercare. “We especially want to thank the local organizations and businesses who have advertised in our guide this year and in the past.”

The SAGE Resource Guide is a free reference guide that describes available services and offers advice for older adults wishing to remain independent in their own homes and provides information for caregivers and family members who often don’t know where to turn for help. The guide is distributed in Union, Essex, Morris, and Somerset Counties.

Individuals interested in receiving a free copy should stop by SAGE Eldercare, 290 Broad Street, Summit or call SAGE at 908.273.5550. Directors of organizations or businesses who think their members might benefit from the guide may also contact SAGE to obtain guides for distribution.
