Summit Mayor Nora Radest, Common Council President Marjorie Fox and Ward 2 Council Member Greg Vartan recently visited SAGE Eldercare, getting a first-hand-look at the nonprofit’s recently updated ‘Spend-A-Day’ Adult Medical Day Center.

During the 15-month closure due to the pandemic, ‘Spend-A-Day’ was updated following guidelines set by the New Jersey Department of Health to ensure client safety. The facility also received a fresh new look to make it more aesthetically pleasing.

“We thank Mayor Radest for taking the time to visit and tour our updated Spend-A-Day center last week,” said SAGE Executive Director, Dr. Tom Buckley. “She was thrilled to see all we have done to update the facility and modernize ‘Spend-A-Day’. We greatly value the Mayor’s continued support for SAGE and the older adults in our community.”

Since reopening its doors on July 19, the Center has received an outpouring of inquiries from those needing support for their loved ones. Tours are taking place multiple times each week.
