The Union County Division on Aging will offer a free, interactive presentation on programs and services for older adults at SAGE Eldercare on May 18, 1 – 2:30 pm.
The program will include a discussion of topics important to older adults such as pharmaceutical assistance programs, home energy assistance, state home care programs, home delivered meals, transportation, Medicaid, Medicare, caregiver relief, housing, visiting physicians, utility assistance from local providers, congregate nutrition sites, and more. Donna Farrell, Outreach Coordinator, Union County Division of Aging and Disability Resources, will lead the program and take questions.
Free and open to the public, the program will take place at SAGE, 290 Broad Street, Summit. To register, or for more information, please call: 908.598.5548 or email: education@sageeldercare.temp312.kinsta.cloud.
Part of the Union County’s Human Services department, the Division on Aging plans, implements, and coordinates services for Union County residents aged 60 and older.
“While the Division of Aging works closely with SAGE to help older Union County residents, we know that many people are not fully aware of the programs and services that are available to them throughout the county,” said Farrell. “We are appreciative that SAGE is holding this program so that we can educate residents and help them ‘age in place.’”
