Safety considerations in Alzheimer’s will be discussed at SAGE Eldercare on October 25.

Practical tips on fall prevention, home and medication safety, driving concerns, reducing the risk of wandering, and preparing for emergencies, will be offered. The program, free and open to the public, will be offered during the monthly Alzheimer’s New Jersey Caregiver Support Group, 10-11 am on Tuesday, October 25, at SAGE Eldercare, 290 Broad Street, Summit.

The Alzheimer’s New Jersey Caregiver Support Groups are led by Deanna Butters, Spend-A-Day Director at SAGE. “It’s important for caregivers to have a place to discuss the challenges and trials of caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia. SAGE offers emotional and educational support,” said Butters.
