For 2015, SAGE Eldercare’s Board of Trustees will be led by Executive Committee members Kitty Hartman, President, Joseph W. Buda, Vice President, Kathy Clingan, Secretary, John C. Hoffman, Treasurer, and Carol King Barrow, Immediate Past President. In addition, two new members of the Board of Trustees will include Susan C. Gieser, Esq., of Ewing and Ann Kale of Milburn.

“We are pleased to announce SAGE’s new Executive Committee who will be governing the leadership of our Board of Trustees for 2015,” stated Angela Sullivan, Interim Executive Director of SAGE Eldercare. “Additionally, we would like to extend our gratitude to Carol King Barrow, who served as board president for the past two years, and Adam Psichos, who has completed his three-year board member term.”

Incoming board president Kitty Hartman joined SAGE’s Board of Trustees in 2009 and has served as secretary of SAGE’s board for the past two years and as the Development Committee Chair, overseeing fundraising for the organization. As a resident of New Providence, Ms. Hartman has been an active volunteer for a wide variety of local organizations.  She currently delivers Meals On Wheels through SAGE, drives clients to and from appointments for the NJ Crossroads Chapter of the American Red Cross, and serves as Secretary of the Board of the Friends of the New Providence Memorial Library. She is a graduate of North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.

Remaining at the vice president post, Joseph W. Buda has been a board member for the past four years and is a resident of Westfield.   He is currently VP at NBC Universal in New York City. Previously, he worked at Citi in a variety of corporate technology positions for more than twenty years. He received a BS from Kean University and an MS from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Additionally, John C. Hoffman of Chatham is remaining on the executive committee as treasurer and has been a board member of SAGE for three years. He retired from Prudential as a Managing Director in 2010 and received a BS from St. Peter’s University and an MBA from Pace University.

New to the executive committee is Kathy Clingan who will be serving as secretary. She lives in Chatham and has been a board member since 2010. She is the owner of Take A Bough, LLC, which retails women’s clothing at boutique shopping events to raise money for nonprofit educational, arts, and health organizations. She is a former trustee New Jersey Shakespeare Theatre and the Chautauqua Institution, an educational and artistic community in western New York state. She is a graduate of Denison University.

SAGE’s new board members for 2015 include Susan C. Gieser, Esq., of Ewing and Ann Kale of Millburn. Ms. Gieser is a partner with Waters, McPherson, McNeill, P.C. in Seacaucus and concentrates in the area of environmental law. She received her undergraduate degree from Lafayette College, an MS from NJIT, and JD from Emory University. She is looking forward to furthering SAGE’s mission and contributing to the organization’s future development. Ms. Kale has a background in senior management roles in investment management and marketing. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her MBA from New York University. In her spare time, she volunteers with EIESNJ, a South Orange nonprofit for the vision-impaired. She is looking forward to helping SAGE with fundraising and community outreach efforts.
