The importance of Research in Alzheimer’s Disease

The Cognitive and Research Center of New Jersey (The CRCNJ) is a select clinical trial site. We aim to provide diagnostic, treatment, and supportive resources to people affected by Alzheimer’s disease.  The discussion will include important lifestyle factors, advances in Alzheimer’s research and current clinical trial opportunities.

Presented by Alicia O’Connor MSW, LCSW who serves as a Clinician and Research Liaison at The CRCNJ. She received her Master’s of Social Work from Rutgers University School of Social Work in New Brunswick, NJ and completed her Certificate in Health and Aging at Rutgers University. Alicia has focused her social work career on the aging population, including evaluating program effectiveness of a crisis intervention program for the elderly and working closely with individuals with dementia. Alicia is dedicated to helping others in managing the challenges resulting from dementia and is thrilled to be at The CRCNJ to assist with research and to work towards a cure.
