Jose Rivera-Benitez was born and raised in New York City’s Lower East Side, and graduated from Columbia University with a joint degree in History and Sociology. He is based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Yoga changed his life. After practicing different forms of Yoga under several instructors, his love of the practice of Yoga steered him to learn to teach the beauty and essence of Yoga so others can equally benefit from the union of mind, body and spirit. Jose earned his 200-hour and 500-hour Yoga Instructor Certification from the American Yoga Academy in Summit New Jersey under the expert guidance of Claire Diab, and he is Yoga Alliance registered.
