Deanna Butters, SAGE’s Director of Spend-A-Day, will teach a full-day class designed to give an edge in successfully providing care for people with dementia in a variety of settings. This seminar for professionals and caregivers will outline diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, communication, and many other topics related to dementia care.  Upon completion of this course and application submission, attendees can obtain their Dementia Practitioner Certification with the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). This program is pending 6.5 CEU’s from the Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers.   The cost for the full-day seminar is $180, which covers all of the course materials.
